Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen [Jude 24-25, ESV] *** All these sins, they sit upon me As I lay upon my bed Have I been too lenient Are those the voices in my head? Is this sense of being wanting As I'm weighed upon the scales An honest diagnosis Or an attack upon me? I don't want reassurance If they're just words to calm me down This is my meditation Whether there is reason to my fears My hope has never been me It's been Jesus who drew me near This is my meditation Whether there is truth behind this shame Forgiveness never came from me It came from the Lamb who was slain You are my meditation You are my meditation I know it's not the first time That I've struggled with despair Somehow that knowledge doesn't help me Not feel I'm suffocating If I'm honest some days victory Is simply fighting terror down This is my meditation Whether there is reason to my fears My hope has never been me It's been Jesus who draws near This is my meditation Whether there is truth behind this shame Cleansing never came from me It came from the Lamb who was slain You are my meditation You are my meditation Maybe in the morning I'll be fine Some days feels like the flip of a dime But even if the heavy comes on strong You say to give You all my burdens, take Your yoke, and come along... You are my meditation In the dark night of my soul For as long as I am willing You will make me whole You are my meditation You brought my past and present peace And you guarantee my future In your promise my I find peace

Sun Meets Horizon

A song to express both the not yet and the now: the yearning for Jesus' return, setting finally right the war within and without; and the celebration that He has provided exactly what I need in the waiting. MIX: Jacke Karashae/Rick Jackson -- Tell me when my eyes will finally catch the shining one and my soul's endless rebellion finally comes undone. Tell me when the sea will finally let the fire come. Tell me when the sun will finally meet the horizon. And when I fall against the wall, I feel so alone. And when my face dodges disgrace, little seems to reach my soul. Everyone will soon need another, and all will need much more than each other. Some of us will never find home... am I alone? Tell me when my eyes will finally catch the shining one And my soul's endless rebellion finally comes undone. Tell me when the sea will finally let the fire come. Tell me when the sun will finally meet the horizon. And when I fall against the wall, I will find my home. And when my face is in disgrace, let your spirit spark my soul. Everyone will soon need another; all will need much more than each other. Digging deep, you draw my soul to home... I'm not alone. Tell me when my eyes will finally catch the shining one And my soul's endless rebellion finally comes undone. Tell me when the sea will finally let the fire come. Tell me when the sun will finally meet the horizon. Tell me when the war is over, and all that's said is done. Tell me when the sun will finally meet my horizon.
